Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at your local library!
Volunteers are a valuable resource for public service organizations. The Polk County Library uses the services of volunteers, ages 15 and older, to supplement the duties and activities of paid staff.
There are many opportunities for volunteers in the Library:
- shelve materials
- help with program preparation
- special projects
The Friends of the Library also use the services of its volunteers/members to put on the Book Sales.
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form below to start the Volunteer Application process.
After we receive your information, we will contact you for further information and to set up an appointment with our Circulation Supervisor.
There is a $15 background check fee for volunteers ages 18 and older. For more information on volunteering opportunities, please call 417-326-4531.
